*pant pant*
Oh, where to begin. It feels like about a week since I've worked, since I didn't work friday and we crammed about a month's worth of activity into this weekend.

4 wheels and vroom
We picked up a new car. All in all it sounded like a very hurried decision, and it really was, I suppose. The topaz started acting retarded and making a very disconcerting knocking/rattling sound. After stomaching that for 2 days and commencing another ulcer over the concept of driving that car any farther than we absolutely had to, a letter from Hesser olds/toyota came in the mail, offering pre-approval and $1000 over trade in value. We owed approximately that much on hers, so it seemed to fit perfectly into place. Partly because I'm a coward, and partly because I didn't want my eagerness to get rid of the POS topaz to make me get buffaloed into something that wasn't a good idea, I had Chelle handle this from start to finish. The first time I even saw the car was when we went to the dealer to leave the topaz and pick this one up. It's a beautiful car, and she did a great job.

Wedding Bells...
After the up-and-down-and-up experience of the car, we got to toss on some good clothes, make ourselves all sexy and go to Michelle's brother's wedding (his second) where I got to sit in a church (which always makes me uncomfortable)and listen to a minister who by all other accounts was cool, air his personal agenda regarding the sanctity of the christian marriage (which wasn't so bad) and how people are perverting the Christian marriage by attempting to marry within their sex. The man started the service with some decent humor and a couple nice quips, but ended up making us feel like he was waving a bible in front of our faces screaming to high heaven about how people suck ass and marriage isn't taken seriously anymore, etc. General pain in the ass.

Open bar at the reception, though. Even though the bridal party, who decided to go bar hopping for the 2 hours between the ceremony and the reception, were late and fucking smashed. I mean REALLY fucking smashed. Then the best man hacked his way through his speech, and the sisters of the bride limped through theirs and we finally got to eat...yay. Food was good and by the end of the night I had about half a buzz on. After the grand march, they tossed the garter/bouquet with all the pomp and circumstance that required, and when they asked for all the single guys, I was attempting to get off on the technicality of not actually being single, it didn't fly and one of the groomsman (probably the only one that could've hauled me out there even if i put up a struggle) came over and drug me out of my chair and hauled me up there. After someone else caught the garter, I decided (in retrospect) that I must've been a little drunker than I thought, since I walked up to the guy that drug me out on the floor, shook his hand and said "If you weren't almost my size, I'd give serious thought to kicking your ass." He laughed, I laughed and it was funny. Then we left and came home, by then it was 1:30.
